These are some expressions of art that were channeled through my cell phone’s camera because my SLR wasn’t accessable. haha – and yes they are edited.

A short burst of photographic energy surged forth yesterday and I found this image I took back in like… April maybe? Anyway, I liked it – Vibrant!

I had about 45 minutes before my sisters had to leave to go to their fall festival. Their costumes sparked some interest in my photographic mind and I just HAD to take a couple pictures at least! (ok, 200+ but who’s counting)
Anyway, here are some of the shots from that quick shoot – let me know what you think.
For the most part I was taking pictures of Anna – the other two girls weren’t quite ready yet.

Finally the other girls came out! It was getting late and about time to get started on our journey…
…to Neverland!

P.S. – all of the photos were taken using natural light and reflectors.

P.S. – I did actually take this image (minus the moon)
Here is another one of my favorite street portraits I took.

Here are some shots from Ukraine: Enjoy!
The opportunity for some good street portraiture is overly abundant there. Here are some that I like:
Even the old people have awesome style. The Ukrainians are very big on fashion.

I think my favorite part of this photo is the assortment of lines that present themselves in the bridge, shadows, horizon and the fishing pole.

This little girl is definitely on her way to becoming a fashion model! haha

In Ukraine, people can only get married on Saturday. One of there traditions is to go take pictures at various points of interest around the city (such as the bridge). Thus the points of interest are very crowded with wedding parties on Saturdays. I happened to grab some shots of passing couples while we walked.

The architecture is also quite impressive. Most of it was built during the Soviet Era.
Yep. Thazright. My coffee!

The Orthodox Cathedral [below] was definitely one of my favorites structures - and the photo I took of it also happened to be one of my favorite pictures. It looks best when viewed large.

Here is the night view from our balcony when we stayed in the apartment in Kiev.

Along with the architecture, there were plenty of cool things to see and beautiful scenery.

One of the really impressive sights was the Donbass Arena. Quite an interesting place. Below are a couple of pictures from the arena and links that go to those photos with graphics added. I would definitely encourage you to view it large through the links provided.

There is a tradition there that is pretty nifty. Lovers would carve their names into a lock and then lock the lock on a bridge and toss the key into the river as a symbol of their love.
